Professor Awokola celebrates God’s grace…
Unmerited love is HIS grace unto whom He decides to bequeath HIS blessings
upon. So is the story of a tailor turned professor on a unique occasion he
decided to celebrate the glory of GOD with thanksgiving.
The entire church auditorium was filled with families and friends of Prof.
Olufiropo Samson Awokola of Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, as
they all gathered at Ibara Baptist Church Abeokuta for special Thanksgiving
Service on Sunday 10th January, 2016 to appreciate God for the attainment of
Professorship in the field of Water Resources and Environmental Engineering.
Revd. Dr. S.O. Bankole, the undershepherd of IBC, led the Officiating
Ministers at the glorious service of HIS Word, singing and dancing to glorify
the faithfulness of GOD. The celebration
was titled “THANKSGIVING SERVICE FOR CONFIRMATION”.
He once said, “Dependence on God makes heroes of ordinary people like you
and me”. This is a testimony to his rugged and humble beginning, that with God, everything
is possible.
We are happy be associated with your success and the giving it back to GOD. We
say, congratulations to Professor Olufiropo Samson Awokola, more power to elbow!
