Today, Monday 18th January 2016 was hectic in the city of Abeokuta,
particularly on those roads that are on speedy completion to meet up with
40projects-40years of Ogun State celebration. Kudos to the SIA the Governor.
There was heavy traffic along Iyana Mortuary-Ijaye roundabout- General
Hospital- Sapon, it was real commotion extraordinaire on the one side diversion
route, and other similar areas where construction are ongoing in the capital
city. The movement was a pain that I suffered today because I was held down on
my way to General Hospital on an emergency health condition of a member of my
immediate family.
If you know Abeokuta, we parked by ‘Ogede ki so’ (Oke Ijeun) few metres to
Sapon, we drove in the slow traffic looking for space to park from the General
Hospital to that far, our destination we have passed about 750m in the bid. No
thanks to the blockage of the gate of the only General hospital in town.
Eventually, we found a space and walked away back to attend to our medial
destination for life saving.
I returned to the spot and met our Jeep clamped, plate numbers removed. This
sight, doubled my psyche and pulse from my medical experience. I went to the
Parkers and Garage office by CBN; explained my plight, the commotion,
construction diversion, and the blockage of General Hospital entrance, etc.
Infact, I parked on the road shoulder, which was the side all people were
able to lined up. No sign or any enforcer, I was in the hospital for about
50minutes. (See the pics of the Liberty Jeep)
All my entreaties failed for release, I explained a lot of common sense
consideration on the suspension of laws where there’s diversion to One-way,
construction site and nonexistence of enforcers/wardens/or so called Park
Managers.
I was made to pay N2,500 with a receipt of N4,000. The reason I don’t know
for their unaccountably sense, a lot of inconsistencies, in organization
witnessed, and sheer wicked senses. They utterly displayed local breed senses,
untrained and usurpers of established roles. There were just imitations of
Traffic enforcers of a medieval age in the jungle, a corruption tendency in
pretense, as rubber stamped by Ogun State Government.
The mass would have reprieved one day, when justice would be affordable.
Questions..
If OGSG is on their receipt and cars, is it govt coy?
What enforcement lesson?
Is it discipline or exploitation?
IGR or job for boys?
Where are the pains of electorates?
After the payment, what next?
Can TRACE perform the function?
Can it be discretionary?
Please i don't support indiscipline, but exploitation isnt it either.
